Your dad was right to pull back. It's biblical and he knew what he was dong.

Everybody has tough hard times and it's good that people like yourself put it out there. It's not a stumbling block but rather an encouragement. How can I go to a woman for advice on a troublede marraige if she never had one herself. (or just lets on she hadn't)

I am glad you didn't have to go through several relationships to find out that there is no happy ever after. Good times & bad, but not all good. Some of us go from one man to another to find one who will make us happy and some of us only stop when the Lord takes His rihtful place in our hearts and fills us in a way no man can.

Sean and I are 100% better. I hear what you say about your daughtr being thin and how it breaks out hearts to see out litle idols (I mean children!) sick :-)

The book sounds very interesting and I ofter think how blessd we are to have a kitchen, dishwasher, hot water etc. So many people have built themselves great big houses in Ireland these past yeears and every now and again I peep over to their side of the fense and am temptede to claw back what I willingly handed over to God but then I compare my life to millions and millions who have NOTHING and I am so very grateful, once again to God for all He has given me.
A husband
father for my son
church
home
godly work
good neighbours

and above all, the oone thing that is sometimes too hard to comprehend, His Son...

Anyway, yes, Sean grew those plants and you know, they came up beautifully. With regards to you drinking hot drinks and wrapping up in blankets, I sympatise, I hate getting cold and thank God that I have a small house that is easy to heat! I suppose I have no real idea how hard it can be to live with such snow.

I am glad you enjoyed Marie's testimony. I thnk I will post one every now and again. Jst imagaine, she was the first person her husband, our pastor led to the lord... his own wife! Lovely!

It's been great hearing from you RUth, I llike your visits, thanks.

May the Lord continue to bless you in your marraige Ruth, both you and me!Ruth MacChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14591616568622752136noreply@blogger.com
